WOODEN GARDEN PRODUCTS FOR B2B ORDERS

Custom Wooden Garden Products Manufacturer

Send a product photo, drawing or approximate size, then tell us where the item will be used.

A planter for indoor display does not need the same drainage, base or finish as one that stays outdoors on soil. Before quoting, we check the details that matter for that use.

Tell Us Where the Product Will SitTell us whether it will stand indoors, under cover, on decking, on a balcony or directly on the ground. That changes the drainage, base clearance, hardware and surface treatment.

Where the Product Will Be Used Changes the Build

Indoors

For indoor use, focus on floor protection, drainage trays, clean edges and the finish customers will see up close.

Covered patio

Even under cover, occasional rain and humidity can reach the product. Check exposed edges, hardware and water run-off.

Balcony or decking

Water should drain away without collecting under the product or damaging the surface below.

Direct ground contact

The base needs clearance or protection so moisture is not trapped. Raised beds also need enough panel and corner strength for wet soil.

Fully exposed outdoors

Tell us how much rain and sunlight it will face, and whether the buyer is expected to maintain the finish. That affects the coating, drainage and hardware.

Planter drainage, liner and base construction detail

Drainage, Soil Load and the Base Must Work Together

Drainage

The number and position of the holes depend on the product size, liner, tray and where the water needs to leave the product.

Soil load

Wet soil puts continuous pressure on the panels, base and corner joints. For larger products, send the internal dimensions and intended soil depth before the structure is fixed.

Base construction

Tell us whether you need an open bottom, raised feet, a full base panel, slats, a removable tray or an internal liner.

Choose the Finish After You Know the Exposure

Start with where the product will stay and how much weather it will face. Color matters, but so do moisture, sunlight, ground contact and the amount of maintenance expected during use.

Common material options include pine, paulownia, poplar, plywood, bamboo, rubberwood and acacia. The right choice depends on the product size, expected soil or storage load, weather exposure and target cost. MDF should only be considered for dry indoor decorative use.

Wood material and finish options for garden products

Water-based paint

Useful when you need a specific color. Coating coverage, edge treatment and outdoor exposure still need to be checked on the sample.

Clear lacquer

Keeps more of the wood appearance visible. Suitability depends on the placement, moisture and the required surface effect.

Natural oil

Gives a more natural finish. Products exposed to weather may need maintenance or another application during use.

Stained finish

Changes the wood tone while leaving part of the grain visible. Check the final color on the wood selected for the order.

The Packing Method Can Change the Structure

Flat-pack packing can reduce carton volume, but the joints, screws and instructions still need to work when the buyer assembles the product.

Assembled products need less work after delivery, but they normally need more carton space and stronger protection inside the box.

Assembled
Less work after delivery, but more carton space is usually needed.
Part-assembled
Can reduce carton volume while keeping difficult joints already fixed.
Flat-pack
Joints, screws and instructions need testing before bulk production.
Hardware bag
Keep screws and fittings in a labeled bag.
Instruction sheet
It must match the final structure, not an earlier sample.
Carton size
Check the packed dimensions before pricing freight or finalizing retail packing.
Edge and surface protection
Painted surfaces, corners and exposed hardware may need bags, paper, foam or dividers.

Add the Logo and Retail Packing After the Size Is Fixed

Branding
Set the logo size and position after the finish is chosen. Engraving, screen printing, hot foil and UV printing do not give the same result on every surface.
Retail information
Match the SKU label, barcode and instruction sheet to the final size, hardware pack and packing version.
Packing artwork
Finalize the color-box artwork and carton marks only after the product and carton dimensions are fixed.

Questions Before You Send an RFQ

What information do you need to quote a wooden garden product?

Send the product type, dimensions, quantity, intended placement and destination market. Add the drainage, liner, material, finish and packing details if they are already fixed.

Can you make planter boxes and raised beds from a photo or sample?

Yes. A photo or drawing is enough to begin. A physical sample is useful when the joints, finish, hardware or size need to stay close to an existing product.

Can you add drainage holes, liners or removable trays?

Yes. Send the required hole position, liner material or tray size. These details should be matched to the product size and intended placement.

Can garden products be shipped flat-packed?

Yes, where the structure allows it. The joints, screws, fittings, instruction sheet and carton need to be tested with the sample.

What finish can be used for outdoor placement?

Common options include water-based paint, clear lacquer, natural oil and stained finishes. The practical choice depends on rain, sunlight, ground contact, the target market and expected maintenance.
